For those of us who enjoyed Roger Ebert's film reviews in Siskel & Ebert at the Mov1ies, or even farther back his film reviews in the Chicago Sun Times, this book will be immensely enjoyed. Ebert wrote this after starting a blog that became an autobiography. He wrote still after becoming ill with thyroid cancer, and starts at his young years in downstate Illinois (Urbana) . It is a candid, personal history which chronicles his loves, losses and obsessions, his struggle and recovery from alcoholism; his marriages, politics and spiritual beliefs. In short, everything about this very interesting man is included. Black & white and color photos of his life, on the set of the long-running critics program, and many with his lovely wife Chaz. Also included, separately, are obituaries and articles about his life from the Chicago Tribune. The jacket has light wear at the spine top and all corners. ; 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall
